The magnetization direction for the ceramic disk is axial, through thickness. The ferrite rod is not a permanent magnet. It is soft ferrite rod going into the center of a coil to boost inductance. Any permeability higher than 2000 will do, the diameter is 3 mm and the thickness 4 mm. If you do not do non magnets, then please just quote the magnetic disk.
